Job Description
Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and creating memorable guest experiences. The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts is a prestigious portfolio within Marriott International, comprising over 120 iconic properties in more than 35 countries. These luxurious destinations range from legendary palaces and remote retreats to elegant modern classics, each reflecting the unique cultural heritage and charm of its locale. With over 100 years of legacy beginning with the Italian CIGA brand, The Luxury Collection continues to set the standard for personalized and anticipatory hospitality that truly honors the spirit of luxury travel.
The Luxury Collection is currently seeking a Full-Time Housekeeping team member based in Los Angeles, California, at the location 465 S La Cienega Blvd. This non-management position offers an initial pay rate of $25.92 per hour, with increases after nine months to $29.16 per hour and after eighteen months to $32.40 per hour. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of public and employee areas, including restrooms, showers, glass surfaces, floors, and furniture. The ideal candidate will be someone who values quality and takes pride in contributing to a superior guest experience by ensuring environments are safe, clean, and welcoming for all guests and team members.
The Housekeeping associate is responsible for performing a wide variety of cleaning duties using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment. This includes dusting, emptying trash, cleaning floors, maintaining lighting, and promptly addressing guest and departmental requests. Safety is paramount, and the role demands adherence to company policies and safety protocols, including proper storage of flammable materials and the use of caution signs to limit traffic during cleaning operations. Physical demands of the job include moving and lifting objects up to 55 pounds unassisted and heavier with help, as well as maneuvering work-related machinery over uneven surfaces, and working in various postures such as bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
This position requires a responsive, guest-focused attitude, with a commitment to professional communication and teamwork. The Housekeeping associate should be prepared to recognize maintenance needs and report potential issues to the appropriate departments to ensure continuous upkeep of the facility. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals who might not have formal education or previous experience in housekeeping, as there are no high school diploma or GED requirements and no previous work or supervisory experience necessary. Marriott International values diversity and inclusivity and welcomes all qualified candidates to apply, emphasizing equal opportunity and non-discrimination. Joining this role means becoming part of a globally respected brand that fosters an engaging and supportive work environment where team members can grow and thrive.
