The role of a House Attendant at Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway is essential to maintaining the high standards for which Pyramid Global Hospitality is known. This position involves ensuring the cleanliness of guest areas and public spaces, which is critical to guest satisfaction and loyalty. The House Attendant will work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to deliver impeccable service that transforms an average stay into an outstanding experience. Attentive to detail and proactive, the successful candidate will support room attendants, restock supplies efficiently, and respond promptly to guest requests. Recognized as the "Heart of the House," the House Attendant contributes significantly to the hotel's operational success and guest comfort.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience desirable
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Basic communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • Position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces
  • Operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
  • Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25 lbs

Job Duties

  • Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
  • Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen
  • Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry
  • Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms on requests
  • Perform duties of room attendant when necessary
  • Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry
  • Help the room attendants with the heavy lifting when super cleaning/spring cleaning of rooms
  • Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures
  • Remove soiled linen and trash from all service areas and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner
  • Always respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other team members
