This per diem Housekeeper position is an exciting opportunity for candidates seeking a flexible schedule at a highly regarded rehabilitation hospital. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across all carpeted and hard surface areas within the hospital. The incumbent will serve as a vital contributor to the Environmental Services Department, ensuring that the facility maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors alike. Responsibilities include routine cleaning and maintenance, restoration of heavily soiled or worn floor areas, and the proper operation and upkeep of cleaning equipment. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • ability to operate floor cleaning and maintenance equipment
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • good communication skills
  • previous hospital experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • performs cleaning and maintenance of all floors including carpets, tile, concrete and brick flooring
  • performs restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas
  • performs assigned tasks in a professional manner reflecting the integrity of the Environmental Services Department
  • operates and maintains all cleaning equipment correctly and safely
  • participates in the department's continuous quality improvement activities
