Job Description
Victory Housing is a dedicated housing organization committed to providing safe, affordable, and supportive living environments for individuals and families in need. As a leader in affordable housing solutions, Victory Housing focuses on creating communities that foster independence, dignity, and a better quality of life for residents. Their properties are designed to accommodate diverse populations while ensuring essential services and amenities are readily accessible. Victory Housing's mission emphasizes compassion, respect, and excellence in service, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and community engagement within their housing facilities.
The Housekeeper role at Victory Housing is a vital position aimed at maintaining the overall cleanliness and readiness of the community's living and common areas. This full-time, non-exempt position pays between $17.25 and $20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience, and includes eligibility for overtime. The Housekeeper ensures that both suites and common areas are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained to create a welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff alike.
This role requires strict adherence to Victory Housing's housekeeping policies and procedures to uphold the organization's high standards of hygiene and safety. The Housekeeper will handle daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing various spaces including outdoor patios, public restrooms, dining rooms, and resident suites. They will also manage inventory and order cleaning supplies, ensuring that all products used align with Victory Housing's approved vendor list.
An important aspect of this job is room readiness, which involves preparing vacancies for new occupancy within 24 hours. This includes thorough cleaning, bed-making, trash removal, and detailed dusting and sanitizing tasks. The Housekeeper is expected to coordinate closely with supervisors, specifically the Assistant Director, to respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs such as incontinence incidents or messy areas.
In addition to routine cleaning, the Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining interior plants, cleaning ashtrays in smoking areas multiple times daily, and assisting with special community events. They must consistently monitor and report any unusual situations or maintenance issues to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.
Victory Housing offers its full-time employees a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, alongside retirement plans and paid time off. This role is well-suited for individuals who take pride in their work, demonstrate attention to detail, and thrive within a community-oriented environment. With the opportunity to contribute positively to residents' living experiences, the Housekeeper position at Victory Housing is both fulfilling and essential to upholding the organization’s mission and values.
