Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper for a part-time, second shift position with weekend availability. The pay rate for this role is $15.00 per hour. The primary objective of the Housekeeper is to ensure our facilities remain clean and orderly, creating a pleasant environment for our guests that supports and enhances our reputation. This role is essential for maintaining hygiene, safety, and overall quality standards aligned with management or homeowner requirements.

The Housekeeper will be responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, laundry tasks, trash removal, bed making, window washing, and restroom sanitization. The individual will work diligently to meet health and safety guidelines, adhering closely to company policies and procedures. Protection and proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies are critical in this role, and any malfunctions or maintenance issues must be reported promptly.

The role also demands the capacity to maintain a professional and positive demeanor when interfacing with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff. Additionally, staying current with laws, regulations, policies, and best practices related to housekeeping is necessary to keep the quality of service at the highest level. Physical demands of the job include continuous movement, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, and performing various physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and squatting. The Housekeeper must be reliable, possess good communication skills, and demonstrate an ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Our ideal candidate has prior cleaning or housekeeping experience, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred, and they must meet all health regulations including passing drug screening and background checks. Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
  • Ability to perform physical activity continuously during workday
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, move, bend, kneel, stoop, squat a maximum of 50lbs
  • Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 30lbs
  • Weekend availability
  • Must maintain professional appearance and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of English language
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Must meet all local health regulations including drug screening and background checks

Job Duties

  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain a clean environment
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines
  • Clean, sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, dust, disinfect, wash laundry, empty trash
  • Strip and make beds, wash windows, clean restrooms, clean carpets
  • Protect and maintain housekeeping equipment
  • Report equipment malfunctions and areas in poor repair to supervisor
  • Interact positively with supervisor, co-workers and client staff
