The Housekeeper position at Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House is an essential part of this mission, responsible for maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility to ensure a safe, welcoming, and comforting environment for families. This role requires a self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work and shares a passion for service. Housekeepers perform a wide variety of cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning common areas, guest rooms, restrooms, kitchens, and dining areas. Additionally, they handle laundry and linen services as needed and support the smooth operation of the House by monitoring supply inventory and communicating maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

The role demands attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. It requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers, who are an integral part of the environment. The Housekeeper also provides guidance and support to volunteers, helping to ensure everyone's efforts align with the House's mission and culture. This part-time position offers an hourly wage of $19.00 and requires availability for evening and weekend shifts, helping to maintain seamless operations around the clock.
