The Housekeeper position at Brevard Zoo is a part-time, hourly role within the Housekeeping department, reporting directly to the Manager of Guest Experience. Housekeepers are tasked with upholding high standards of cleanliness across various areas including restrooms, offices, behind-the-scenes staff spaces, and outdoor exhibits scattered throughout the Zoo grounds. Approximately 80% of the workday is spent outdoors, exposing employees to all types of weather conditions, which demands a resilient and adaptable approach to the job. Working jointly in pairs or groups, housekeepers contribute significantly to the overall guest experience by ensuring that all areas are sanitary and orderly, thus allowing visitors to immerse themselves fully in their visit without distraction or concern over cleanliness.
