The Housekeeper role at Noble Health Care Center presents an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in joining a dedicated team committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. This part-time position involves performing a variety of housekeeping tasks that are essential to the smooth operation of the facility. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning resident rooms, common areas, furniture, fixtures, and other spaces, thereby ensuring that the environment is hygienic and comfortable for everyone. They handle floor care tasks such as dust-mopping, wet-mopping, spot-mopping, sealing, waxing, buffing, and carpet maintenance including vacuuming and shampooing. Maintaining cleanliness extends to windows, trash management, and proper linen handling, including stripping spoiled linens and making resident beds. Reporting repair needs to supervisors or maintenance departments is also part of the role to uphold safety and facility standards. This position requires adherence to safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and the use of proper safety equipment to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have some previous housekeeping experience, familiarity with floor-care equipment, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, their families, and visitors. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping operations preferred
  • Previous experience with floor-care equipment preferred
  • Able to tactfully communicate with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public
  • Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance

Job Duties

  • Dust and clean assigned areas including resident rooms, living areas, furniture, fixtures, vents, lavatories, and basins as scheduled
  • Dust-mop, wet-mop, or spot-mop floors by using appropriate proportioned concentrated cleaning chemicals as scheduled
  • Strip, seal, wax and/or buff floors, as necessary
  • Vacuum, extract and/or shampoo carpets, as necessary
  • Wash and dry windows by using appropriate proportioned concentrated cleaning chemicals as scheduled
  • Empty trash containers, replace liners and dispose of trash in proper receptacles
  • Strip and dispose of spoiled linens in appropriate receptacles for washing
  • Replace linens and make residents' beds as scheduled
  • Report repair needs to supervisor and/or maintenance department as appropriate
  • Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify safety hazards and abide by community's safety policies and procedures
