Job Description
Morada Senior Living is a reputable organization that operates more than 20 care- and lifestyle-focused communities across the Southwestern United States. Primarily concentrated in Texas, with emerging communities in New Mexico, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, Morada Senior Living offers a comprehensive range of senior living and care options. These include Active Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and short-term Respite Care. Each Morada community is designed to provide a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of seniors at various stages of life and care requirements. With a total of over 2,000 residential units, Morada Senior Living emphasizes quality care, compassionate service, and enriching lifestyles for its residents.
Morada Senior Living is currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join one of its vibrant communities. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards that contribute to a healthy and pleasant environment for residents, guests, and staff alike. The housekeeper will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks according to scheduled intervals—daily, weekly, and monthly—in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common spaces, lounges, and office areas. Duties include sweeping, dusting, mopping floors and stairways, vacuuming carpets and rugs, cleaning lavatory fixtures, scrubbing tiles, woodwork, and window areas, as well as maintaining necessary cleaning equipment and ensuring safety protocols are met.
In addition to routine cleaning responsibilities, the housekeeper will manage the community's laundry operations, including collecting, cleaning, redistributing laundry, and maintaining a clean and orderly laundry environment. The role requires careful handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and materials in compliance with safety standards. Attention to detail, the ability to report needed repairs and supply requirements, and the willingness to support additional duties as assigned are essential qualities for success in this position.
The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping experience, preferably with an understanding of the senior living environment, and effective communication skills to interact courteously with residents and team members. Physical stamina is necessary, as the job involves standing, walking, lifting, bending, and occasionally moving heavy items. Morada Senior Living values team players who demonstrate an interest in enhancing the lives of the senior population through their dedicated work.
This employment opportunity is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Morada Senior Living supports its employees with medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options, along with paid time off and paid holidays. Employees are also eligible for participation in a 401(k) plan with company match, as well as additional support through the Employee Assistance Program and accident insurance policies. Morada Senior Living is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace for all team members.
