The current opportunity is for a part-time Housekeeper position based at Ascension Providence Hospital, located at 6901 Medical Parkway, Waco, TX 76712. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the hospital environment, ensuring that patients, visitors, and staff experience a safe, sanitary, and welcoming atmosphere. The schedule for this role is part-time, from Monday through Friday, with varying hours and required rotating weekend shifts. The pay range for this position is competitive, from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a healthcare setting.

As a Housekeeper at TouchPoint, you will be responsible for performing a variety of light cleaning tasks within the hospital. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, vacuuming floors and carpets, cleaning washbasins and mirrors, dusting furniture, and ensuring trash bins are emptied and sanitized properly. The focus is not only on cleanliness but also on providing excellent customer service by attending to requests and queries from patients and visitors. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Maintaining the arrangement of furniture and handling cleaning emergencies such as spills are additional responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
  • Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
  • Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
  • Cleans metal fixtures and fittings
  • Empties and cleans trash containers
  • Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
  • Wipes down glass surfaces
  • Makes up beds and changes linens as required
  • Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • Responds to guest queries and requests
  • Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
  • Contributes to team efforts
  • exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others
  • Performs other duties as assigned
