Our team of housekeeping professionals plays a vital role in supporting the hospital's mission by ensuring all areas are sanitary, orderly, and compliant with hospital protocols. We operate Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, and are seeking a full-time Housekeeper for the Operating Room to join our committed team.
The role of the Housekeeper Operating Room involves performing routine cleaning and disinfecting duties in the operating room and adjacent patient care areas. This position demands meticulous attention to detail to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment essential for surgical operations. The housekeeper will follow established procedures and methods to clean assigned areas which include patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and other hospital zones.
In addition to routine cleaning, the housekeeper is expected to uphold the highest standards of sanitary conditions by using hospital-grade cleaning agents and equipment correctly. The candidate must be capable of operating and maintaining cleaning equipment in good working order and capable of following safety protocols rigorously. The position requires a minimum of two to six months of housekeeping experience, with specific experience in a hospital operating room environment strongly preferred.
Required literacy skills include the ability to read, write, and follow detailed instructions accurately. This ensures that all cleaning activities meet the hospital’s hygiene standards. The role also demands physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and the flexibility to undertake situational duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
