This specific role is for an on-call Housekeeper at the Long Beach Medical Center located in Long Beach, California. The position offers a pay rate of $23.00 per hour and operates on an on-call schedule where days and hours may vary depending on business needs. Candidates must have prior housekeeping experience. The housekeeper’s core responsibility is to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment within healthcare facilities, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness for the safety and comfort of patients, staff, and visitors.

The housekeeper performs essential cleaning duties such as making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning patient rooms and common areas, vacuuming carpets, and polishing floors. Their role also involves dusting furniture, cleaning washrooms, disposing of trash properly, and responding promptly to housekeeping-related requests or emergencies. Job Duties

  • Provide quality customer service by attending to details
  • sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors
  • vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies
  • dust and polish furniture and fittings
  • clean metal fixtures and fittings
  • empty and clean trash containers
  • dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
  • clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers
  • wipe down glass surfaces
  • make up beds and change linens as required
  • realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • respond to guest queries and requests
  • respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses
  • contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism
  • perform other assigned duties
