The Housekeeper role at Avery Point offers an excellent opportunity to join this respected organization in a full-time capacity, dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the living spaces and common areas used by residents. This position primarily serves our Independent Living residents along with nursing home resident rooms, ensuring a hygienic, welcoming atmosphere that supports the health and wellbeing of all community members. Working Monday through Friday during the morning shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, the role provides stability and work-life balance. Compensation starts at $17 per hour and is based on experience, with a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
As a Housekeeper, you will be entrusted with a variety of essential duties that contribute to the overall quality of life at Avery Point. This includes cleaning resident homes and nursing rooms using specialized equipment to maintain hygiene standards, cleaning public spaces such as lobbies, bathrooms, classrooms, and living rooms, and performing tasks that require attention to detail like dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and spot cleaning walls and windows. Your role will also involve maintaining carpeted surfaces through cleaning and drying methods to ensure all areas are neat and inviting.
The position demands individuals with a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and the ability to operate various cleaning and maintenance equipment safely. Job Requirements
- previous experience cleaning in residential or commercial setting is ideal
- ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment
- ability to work independently and as a contributing team member

- assisting with collection, bagging, and disposal of trash and replacing trashcan liners
- maintaining carpeted surfaces through extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming
