The Lighthouse at Lincoln, a part of LCB Senior Living, is currently seeking part-time Housekeepers to join their dedicated team. As a Housekeeper at The Lighthouse at Lincoln, the individual will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of both residents' rooms and common areas. This position requires thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, and disinfecting. Cleaning duties extend to bathrooms, kitchens, carpets, windows, and linens, all while adhering to safety and ethical guidelines laid out by LCB. Job Requirements
- Must have appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting
- Must be able to perform routine cleaning duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping and disinfecting
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and perform physical activities including pushing, pulling, crouching, kneeling and bending
- Must use cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners and buffers safely
- Ability to work 16 hours per week including weekends
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Must be willing to attend required in-service training and orientations
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances
- Ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- Previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting is preferred
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- Ability to maintain a clean and neat environment
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods of time
Job Duties
- Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
- As an associate you are expected to have an active role in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
- Thoroughly cleaning the bathrooms including toilet, vanity, sink, shower, shower seat and floor with cleaning solution
- Cleans kitchen areas completely including wiping counters, mopping kitchen floors and cleaning under objects
- Empty wastebaskets and replace bags
- Dusting and polishing all surfaces
- Wipe off all surfaces including windowsills, woodwork and counters
- Cleaning carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, disinfecting
- Cleaning all common areas and common bathrooms on a daily basis and as often as needed
