Job Description
TouchPoint is a dedicated division of Compass Healthcare, committed to serving a vital role within the healthcare hospitality industry. Operating primarily within Ascension Health hospitals, TouchPoint specializes in providing exceptional support services to enhance the patient, family, and visitor experience. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, TouchPoint drives its mission to offer hospitality that promotes comfort, safety, and care through skilled and compassionate staff. At the core of TouchPoint’s service philosophy is the commitment to create moments that matter, ensuring that every interaction contributes positively to the healing environment. The company highly values collaboration, empowering employees to grow professionally while maintaining a workplace culture rooted in care, professionalism, and mutual support. This ethos is palpable in their everyday operations, where team dynamics and individual contributions are equally celebrated and encouraged.
The housekeeping lead position at TouchPoint is a full-time role headquartered at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, located at 2001 West 86th Street in Indianapolis. This position is essential for maintaining the hospital’s cleanliness and service standards, crucial components in supporting patient care and overall facility operation. The housekeeping lead is responsible not only for hands-on cleaning tasks but also for supervising and training housekeeping staff. Candidates with previous supervisory experience are strongly preferred, as the role demands overseeing a team to ensure meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established protocols. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, including every other weekend and holidays, with hours subject to variation based on hospital needs.
Compensation for this position is competitive, offering a fixed pay rate of $16.50 per hour. This reflects the specialized nature of the role, which requires balancing leadership responsibilities with direct service provision. The role goes beyond routine cleaning—it fosters a hospitable environment where every gesture supports the larger mission of helping individuals heal. The housekeeping lead’s duties include managing staff attendance and scheduling, resolving complaints, ensuring supply and equipment readiness, and maintaining high standards for cleanliness and safety. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to model professionalism and dedication in a healthcare setting.
TouchPoint provides comprehensive benefits to both full-time and part-time associates, emphasizing health, wellness, and financial security. These include a retirement plan, associate shopping program, health and wellness initiatives, and voluntary benefits like insurance for critical illness and accidents. Full-time employees gain access to extended benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, alongside commuter benefits and flexible spending accounts. This robust benefits package underlines TouchPoint’s commitment to supporting its workforce holistically, recognizing that a cared-for team translates into better patient services.
Working at TouchPoint means joining a supportive and inclusive employer that values diversity and equal opportunity. The company enforces a drug-free workplace policy and offers ongoing application opportunities, ensuring a transparent and fair hiring process. The environment is fast-paced and rewarding, appealing to individuals who thrive in service-oriented roles that combine leadership with direct community impact. By joining TouchPoint, employees become part of a larger mission to improve the health of the poor and vulnerable, while cultivating their own careers within a respected leader in the foodservice and healthcare hospitality industry.
