We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper/Janitor to join our team at the Forward Air office building located in Irving, Texas. This position requires someone who is available to work evening shifts starting after 6:00 pm from Sunday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility to promote a healthy, safe, and pleasant workspace for employees and visitors. Responsibilities of the Housekeeper/Janitor include thorough cleaning and maintenance of floors through vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting; maintaining surface areas by dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, and windows, and polishing metal and wood surfaces; and the proper removal and disposal of trash and recyclables. Additionally, the role engages in other general cleaning duties as necessary to support overall facility maintenance.
The job entails physical demands such as lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, standing for extended periods, and walking throughout the facility, making physical fitness and stamina important attributes for this position. Candidates must also successfully pass a pre-employment background screening, drug test, and employment verification to be considered for employment. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clean and maintain floors including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- Clean and maintain surface areas such as dusting, sanitizing, glass, mirror, and window cleaning, metal and wood polishing
- Remove waste by emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting trash and waste to disposal areas
- Perform general cleaning duties as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
