We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Housekeeper/Janitorial professional to join our team. This role is ideal for a confident, experienced individual who understands the importance of exceptional hospitality and maintaining pristine cleanliness in a dynamic casino setting. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $17.75.
The Housekeeper/Janitorial position at Parkwest Casino is vital to ensuring that all casino areas, including gambling floors, offices, restrooms, and event spaces, meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The role requires dedication to maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas such as lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and parking areas. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as specialized cleaning tasks like shampooing casino floors and chairs and brushing gaming tables.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and supplying restrooms, dusting furniture, washing walls and ceilings, cleaning windows and glass partitions, and managing waste disposal, including areas designated for smoking. The role often involves setting up and breaking down for special events and tournaments, including arranging decorations, tables, chairs, and other equipment to ensure the facility is prepared to accommodate these occasions.
Ideal candidates are those who can work independently as well as part of a team, possess strong organizational skills, and handle multiple tasks effectively. Clear communication with team members and a readiness to work varied and flexible shifts including weekends and evenings are essential. A high school diploma, GED or equivalent is required, along with 1-2 years of experience in a comparable environment. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, pass a background check and drug screening, and be physically capable of performing the demanding tasks associated with this position.

- must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in an environment of comparable quality or size
Job Duties
- maintains and cleans casino areas, gambling areas, offices, restrooms, and event center, conference rooms clean
- cleans lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, stairways, hallways, locker rooms, and parking areas and restrooms so that health standards are met
- service, clean and supply restrooms
- sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums, waxes, and polishes floor and straightens areas around the casino
- cleans ash trays in the smoking area
- shampoos the casino floor and chairs
- brush gaming tables daily and removes gum from the floor, tables and chairs
- assists in getting used food carts to the service stations
- assists in set-up and break down of special events and tournaments as needed
- dusts furniture, washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, medal fixtures, and brass
- cleans and/or washes windows, glass partitions, mirrors, door panels, and sills by using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees
- empties wastebaskets, empties and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas which includes the smoking areas
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies
- assist in set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for special events, such as banquets, tournaments, and/or meetings as needed
- ensures that assigned work area is maintained in a safe condition
- perform other duties as assigned
