The Housekeeper role at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans is essential to maintaining a safe, healthy, and clean environment within the center. The Housekeeper is responsible for adhering to comprehensive cleaning schedules that cover daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to uphold sanitation standards throughout all areas of the center. Job duties extend beyond routine cleaning to include basic maintenance activities such as changing light bulbs, managing laundry, and restocking supplies like soap and paper towels. The Housekeeper works under the supervision of center leadership to efficiently manage the cleanliness and safety of the entire facility.

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate experience in custodial or housekeeping tasks and possess a working knowledge of proper cleaning procedures to ensure all spaces meet established health and safety standards. Communication skills are also key, as the Housekeeper must report concerns related to health, safety, or facility maintenance to supervisors and participate in emergency preparedness drills and staff development training. This position operates on a Monday through Friday daytime schedule and supports the broader mission of CCANO by providing a clean and welcoming environment that enables the organization’s programs to operate effectively and serve the community with dignity.
