The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning such as carpet shampooing, tile scrubbing, and window and balcony cleaning to hotel standards. The position is critical in supporting a smooth transition between guests by facilitating timely and thorough room preparation.
In addition to cleaning duties, the housekeeper must report maintenance issues, manage supplies and linen inventory efficiently, and assist with special cleaning projects and heavy lifting when necessary. Team members must adhere to safety regulations, including OSHA standards for personal protective equipment when applicable. Good communication skills, especially with management, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines are essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop and walk for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Job Qualifications
- Adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems and hotel property management systems

Job Duties
- Maintain assigned public areas and other offices as required while meeting hotel standards of cleanliness
- Reporting any maintenance deficiencies
- Collection, distribution, restocking and receiving of linen and terry items
- Removing soiled linen
- Trash disposal from carts and other assigned areas
- Handling of guest requests or complaints
- Maintain guest confidence, privacy, and security of guests, guest rooms and their belongings
