Job Description
The Southlake Campus is a part of a comprehensive health system dedicated to providing top-quality healthcare services to the community. This facility is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The health system places a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. It also provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment process, underscoring the organization's commitment to accessibility and fairness.
The Southlake Campus is currently seeking to fill two housekeeping positions: one full-time and one part-time. Both roles are vital to supporting the hospital's mission by maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the facility. These positions report directly to the Housekeeping Manager and involve comprehensive cleaning responsibilities to promote a hygienic and safe environment across various hospital areas.
As a Housekeeper I at the Southlake Campus, you will play a key role in the upkeep of the facility, ensuring patient rooms, entryways, hallways, offices, common areas, lavatories, and food service areas are thoroughly cleaned and prepared. Your tasks will include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and replenishing supplies, as well as cleaning light fixtures, ceilings, vents, mattresses, furniture, and window coverings. You may also be involved in moving furniture, hanging draperies, and setting up tables and chairs as needed.
This role requires a professional demeanor and positive attitude at all times as it contributes to the overall patient and visitor experience. Adherence to organizational policies and procedures and effective management of time, supplies, and equipment are essential. The position demands the ability to perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies pertinent to the assigned unit or department with flexibility for varying duties based on specific area requirements.
Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and possess at least one year of hospital housekeeping experience to be considered. This experience ensures familiarity with the unique needs and standards related to maintaining cleanliness in a hospital setting. In addition, the health system requires that all employees agree to its dispute resolution program as a condition of employment.
Working as a Housekeeper I at the Southlake Campus offers job security within a reputable health system and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care quality through environmental maintenance. Both full-time and part-time options allow for work-life balance. If you desire a role where your efforts are integral to the well-being of others and appreciate working in a collaborative, supportive team environment, this position is an excellent fit for you.
