The current job opportunity at Brown County is for a part-time Housekeeper position. This role involves cleaning and maintaining interior surfaces in public and residential buildings, including vacuuming and extracting carpets, waxing and buffing floors, and sanitizing resident rooms and restrooms. Housekeepers at Brown County also clean light fixtures, furniture, walls, and windows, as well as collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials. The position requires operating a variety of cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums, to effectively keep the premises clean and safe. This role is crucial to maintaining a clean, healthy environment and providing quality service to the community.

The position is part-time, with a schedule of 20 hours per week held every Thursday and Friday from 7am to 1pm, and every other weekend from 7am to 3:30pm. The Housekeeper is expected to adhere to all safety and quality assurance standards while performing duties. Responsibilities include minor maintenance duties, such as reporting equipment needing repair and requesting work orders as necessary. Employees must be able to climb ladders and work with cleaning chemicals and disinfectants while following infection control and safety guidelines including HIPPA standards. The role also involves good communication skills to interact effectively with the public, staff, and residents.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and one year of cleaning experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Wisconsin Driver's License and the ability to pass an FBI background check are mandatory. The job demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance and perform repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching. Employees must be capable of working in varying temperature conditions and tolerate exposure to cold, noise, and vibrations inherent to the job environment.

Job Duties
