Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One to two years of experience in a service-oriented job preferred
  • Ability to communicate using the English language
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Exposure to chemicals requiring use of PPE and safety equipment
  • Willingness to wear uniform and identification badge
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Availability for on-site work

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One to two years of experience in a service-oriented job preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards regulated by DPH and EOEA is a plus
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment

Job Duties

  • Follows and completes all assigned specific cleaning and service instructions for apartments, resident and patient rooms, common areas, and other assigned areas
  • Cleans windows and window treatments
  • Cleans and mops bathroom floors using safety signage
  • Vacuums carpets
  • Dusts and polishes resident furniture
  • Cleans room and bathroom vents
  • Cleans light fixtures
  • Performs high dusting
  • Cleans ice machines, kitchen appliances, and trash baskets daily
  • Cleans common household dining tables and chairs
  • Replenishes hand soap, sanitizer, kitchen soap, and paper supplies for dispensers
  • Keeps housekeeping carts locked per regulatory requirements and removes from patient rooms during mealtimes
  • Deep cleans household kitchens quarterly
  • Deep cleans patient rooms bimonthly
  • Checks cleaning supplies and notifies supervisor of needs
  • Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures and regulatory cleaning standards
  • Maintains housekeeping equipment clean and orderly
  • Responds to emergencies, special needs, and spills as required
  • Assists other associates as directed
  • Offers suggestions and solutions to improve systems and care
  • Maintains confidentiality of resident and patient information
  • Wears uniform appropriately and displays identification badge
  • Participates in all department training
