Van Andel Institute’s Facilities Department plays a crucial role in supporting this mission by maintaining a “Best in Class” facility, providing a clean, comfortable, and functional working environment where employees can focus effectively on their professional goals. They are currently seeking to hire a full-time Housekeeper to join their team. This position is essential to ensuring that the institute’s spaces remain neat, clean, safe, and sanitary, contributing directly to the high standards of the research environment. The Housekeeper’s responsibilities include daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing floors, dusting ceilings, vents, and furniture, emptying wastebaskets and recycling bins, maintaining supply inventories, and assisting with room setups for events. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in housekeeping, preferably in academic, hospital, medical office, or laboratory settings.

This full-time position operates on a first shift schedule from 4:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at the main Van Andel Institute facility located at 333 Bostwick NE, Grand Rapids. Compensation for this non-exempt role is competitive and commensurate with experience, alongside a highly generous benefits package.
