Job Description

Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH) is a renowned healthcare institution dedicated to providing exceptional cardiac care to patients across Oklahoma and beyond. With a commitment to excellence, OHH has established itself as a leader in heart care through innovative treatments, compassionate caregiving, and a collaborative environment that fosters continuous improvement. The hospital’s mission revolves around patient-centered care, ensuring every individual who walks through its doors receives the highest standard of medical attention and support from a multidisciplinary team of skilled physicians, nurses, and support staff. At OHH, the vision is clear: to shape the future of heart care not only within the state of Oklahoma but also to set benchmarks that inspire the nation. The institution thrives on a culture of teamwork, respect, and shared values, where every employee’s role is integral to the overall success and patient outcomes.

OHH is currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeper I to join its environmental services team on the North Campus located at 4050 W. Memorial Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. This is a full-time position with working hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, including rotating weekends. The Housekeeper I is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by ensuring that all designated areas within the hospital are spotless and sanitary. The role involves a diverse range of housekeeping duties such as damp dusting horizontal surfaces and vents, trash removal, cleaning and scouring sinks and toilets, dry and wet mopping of hard surfaced floors, vacuuming carpeting and upholstery, washing windows, door frames, and other vertical surfaces. Additionally, the housekeeper is responsible for stocking paper products, maintaining cleaning carts and equipment in a clean and functional state, and adhering to infection control protocols which are critical in a healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment, providing familiarity with the unique cleanliness standards required in hospitals. This role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks efficiently according to established schedules to ensure the hospital’s appearance always reflects its commitment to patient care and safety. OHH values every team member’s contribution to the patient experience and believes that those working behind the scenes, such as in housekeeping, are vital to the hospital’s ongoing leadership in cardiac health services. Joining the OHH team means being part of a heart-centered community that supports professional growth, offers comprehensive benefits starting from day one, and is dedicated to a mission of healing and hope. This position plays a crucial part in upholding the high standards that make OHH a trusted name in healthcare and is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a meaningful career in the healthcare support services industry.
