Job Description

Reside Seattle Downtown is a leading company in the alternative accommodations industry, redefining the way travelers experience hospitality by offering innovative multi-platform logistics-based housing solutions that combine the convenience and efficiency of apartments with the high-touch service expected from boutique hotels. Operating in over 200 cities across the United States and extending its reach to more than 130 international destinations, Reside is committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience through meticulous attention to detail and outstanding customer service, distinguishing itself as a premier provider in the hospitality sector.

The Housekeeper position at Reside Seattle Downtown offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly wage of $21.30 and a $500 sign-on bonus payable after 90 days of employment. The role is based at the downtown location at 104 Pine Street and features a variable day schedule typically from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with shifts that may include holidays and alternate workdays according to business needs. This role is integral to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall ambiance of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas, ensuring an inviting and safe environment for all guests.

As a Housekeeper, your focus will be on upholding the high standards of hospitality that Reside is known for. Duties include cleaning, dusting, and sanitizing guest rooms and common areas using established procedures; making beds and replenishing linens and guest amenities; floor care that involves sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing; and keen inspections to identify maintenance issues or missing items, which must be promptly reported to supervisors. The role demands strict adherence to chemical handling protocols and safety regulations, proper disposal of waste, and maintaining housekeeping carts and storage areas.

Beyond cleaning and maintenance, the Housekeeper role requires a robust guest service component. You will be expected to greet guests warmly, respond to guest requests professionally and promptly, and support the hotel’s guest experience by demonstrating courteous and respectful interactions. Occasional porterage duties for customer arrivals or service resolutions may also be part of the responsibilities. Although this position does not supervise other employees, there may be opportunities to assist in cross-training colleagues, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Candidates who bring at least one year of hospitality experience are favored, though prior housekeeping or janitorial experience within hotel or hospitality settings is preferred but not strictly required. A high school diploma or equivalent is also preferred. Essential personal attributes include the ability to follow instructions in English, attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and maintaining a professional demeanor consistently. Physical demands of the job include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions, all within a fast-paced and guest-focused environment.

Working at Reside offers more than a job; it provides a pathway to career growth and development with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay, commuter benefits, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer match, paid holidays and vacation time, monetary bonuses, employee discounts, volunteer programs, tuition reimbursement, and additional learning and development opportunities. Reside values diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace where employees from all backgrounds are welcomed and respected.

Embracing integrity, teamwork, adaptability, and exceptional customer service, the Housekeeper position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to an innovative and supportive work environment while advancing their careers. Reside is committed to compliance with federal regulations, including employment verification via E-Verify and comprehensive background checks, underscoring its dedication to legal and ethical business practices. Join Reside and be part of a forward-thinking organization that strives to exceed guest expectations and foster a rewarding employee experience.
