Job Description
Our organization is a reputable healthcare facility dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a clean and safe environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. As a leader in the healthcare industry, we recognize the critical importance of cleanliness and sanitation in promoting health and preventing infections. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond medical services to encompass all aspects of facility maintenance, including environmental services and housekeeping. We value teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic in all our employees and strive to foster a supportive and inclusive work culture.
We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Environmental Services Technician to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring that designated and assigned areas within our healthcare setting are consistently cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. The Technician will be responsible for a variety of cleaning procedures, which include damp dusting of horizontal surfaces, cleaning vents, trash removal, scrubbing and scouring sinks and stools, performing dry and wet mopping of hard surfaced floors — occasionally involving floor stripping, applying floor finish, and buffing, vacuuming carpets, as well as washing windows, door frames, and other vertical surfaces. The position demands a thorough understanding of cleaning protocols that ensure both cleanliness and safety, particularly within a healthcare environment where infection control is paramount.
Candidates for this position should have at least one year of experience in housekeeping or environmental services within a healthcare setting, demonstrating familiarity with the unique demands of maintaining sanitation in a clinical environment. The ability to read and write is essential to follow instructions and maintain records accurately. A high school diploma or GED is required as a minimum educational qualification. Although not mandatory, previous experience in hospital housekeeping or environmental services is preferred, as it equips candidates with specialized knowledge of hospital sanitation standards.
This role is full-time and offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that contributes directly to patient safety and comfort through meticulous housekeeping practices. Working in our facility, the Housekeeping/Environmental Services Technician will play a crucial part in maintaining an environment that supports healing and wellness, making a tangible difference every day. The position provides a supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the satisfaction of helping to create a clean and healthy space for all who enter our healthcare facility.
