We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. This position is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment by ensuring all areas of the facility are free from obstacles, odors, and debris. The Housekeeper plays a crucial role in promoting a hygienic and pleasant atmosphere, which directly contributes to the overall quality of life for our residents and the safety of our staff and visitors. This is an hourly position with a competitive pay range of $17.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining public and common areas, ensuring resident rooms and bathrooms meet sanitation standards, and responsibly managing housekeeping supplies and equipment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
- ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Job Duties
- Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
- ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly
- wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris
- remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers
- empty trash cans and replace liners as needed
- sweep and mop floors throughout the facility
- follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely
- operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions
- keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary
- report any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing
- notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment
- demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude
- manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently
- work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards
