The Maintenance Technician role at Residence Inn by Marriott, located in Falls Church, Virginia, is an essential non-management position within the engineering and facilities department. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour and requires a dedicated individual capable of performing scheduled preventive maintenance and minor repairs throughout guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces. The technician ensures a high standard of cleanliness, functionality, and safety, which directly impacts guest satisfaction and the operational efficiency of the hotel. This role involves tasks such as inspecting mattresses, assembling bed frames, spot cleaning carpets, dusting, touch-up painting, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs like changing light bulbs or tightening toilet seats. Job Duties

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms meeting rooms and public spaces
  • flip and inspect mattresses box springs and assemble bed frames
  • vacuum behind and underneath furniture spot clean carpets and upholstery dust and touch-up paint and furniture
  • inspect and repair grout and caulking replace light fixtures and ensure hardware and appliances are present and functional
  • perform minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats changing light bulbs and patching holes in walls
  • perform general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces including tubs wall tile hard floors walls windows and mirrors
  • report serious maintenance problems unusual findings or safety hazards to management immediately
