The role open for recruitment is a full-time, non-management position within the Engineering and Facilities category, offering an hourly wage of $18.50. This position is pivotal in maintaining the exceptional standards of Courtyard by Marriott Paramus by performing scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property. The maintenance team ensures that guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas meet or exceed cleanliness, safety, and operational benchmarks. Responsibilities include a wide range of maintenance tasks such as mattress flipping and inspection, assembling bed frames, vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, painting touch-ups, and ensuring all hardware and appliances are functional and present.

The successful candidate will be diligent in performing assessments and repairs on grout, caulking, light fixtures, and general room upkeep. Minor repairs like tightening toilet seats, changing light bulbs, patching wall holes, and cleaning all guestroom surfaces including tubs, wall tiles, floors, windows, and mirrors constitute daily duties. The role demands a strong sense of safety and security adherence, requiring the maintenance worker to report any hazards or serious maintenance issues immediately. This position also requires physical capabilities such as bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 pounds independently, and collaborating with teammates for heavier tasks.
