The Housekeeper role at Castle Group is vital in ensuring that all common areas and amenities within the community are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. The Housekeeper's responsibilities extend beyond basic cleaning to include customer service, safety awareness, and the upkeep of supplies. This position involves maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces such as hallways, lobbies, elevators, and recreational facilities including clubhouses and fitness centers. The Housekeeper also supports event setups by arranging and cleaning meeting rooms, contributing to smooth and successful community events.

This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to the company's mission and customer service excellence. The Housekeeper is expected to operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment proficiently, follow safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adhere to cleaning and sanitation guidelines specified in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the Housekeeper frequently interacts with residents and team members, representing the company’s values in every engagement. Additionally, the role includes inventory management of cleaning supplies, assisting with hurricane preparations, and reporting maintenance issues to management to maintain a safe environment.

Candidates must be able to physically perform tasks that include lifting up to 40 pounds, working in various environmental conditions, standing for prolonged periods, and navigating tight spaces. The job demands reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of the team under tight deadlines.

This position typically requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in housekeeping or similar roles preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. The Housekeeper is a non-supervisory position but plays an essential part in supporting the overall maintenance and customer satisfaction objectives of Castle Group.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and elevators
remove litter, trash, and debris from all areas of the community
empty trash receptacles, ashtrays, and waste baskets regularly and dispose of waste properly
vacuum, sweep, polish, and mop floors
straighten furniture in common areas as needed
dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain neat appearance
polish and clean windows, glass doors, brass, mirrors, and other surfaces
clean and disinfect kitchen areas including countertops, sinks, and appliances
restock supplies such as towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers
sanitize all bathroom bowls, sinks, partitions, and urinals daily or as needed
clean and organize clubhouse including restrooms, shower stalls, fitness equipment, and storage rooms
assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of meeting rooms for events
maintain supply and PPE inventory and assist supervisor with ordering supplies
assist with hurricane preparation before, during, and after storms
complete necessary checklists and work orders as assigned
report any malfunctioning equipment and unsafe conditions to management
maintain a safe and secure work environment
ensure proper use of PPEs while performing duties
perform other duties as assigned
