Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year or more of related experience required
- ability to lift 30lbs unaided and push 50lbs
- ability to walk, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods
- ability to work indoors and outdoors
- flexible work schedule including weekends, holidays, and inclement weather
- exposure to healthcare environment including persons with dementia
- compliance with company vaccination policies
Job Qualifications
- Fundamental knowledge of general housekeeping duties
- knowledge and understanding of housekeeping approaches and tools
- knowledge of laundry and procedures
- ability to use and maintain cleaning and laundry supplies and tools
- ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English
- ability to detect odors
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks
Job Duties
- Clean assigned areas according to schedule and departmental policies
- maintain cleanliness and condition of assigned equipment
- handle trash, soiled linen, and clean linen
- prepare work cart and obtain daily supplies while accounting for usage
- follow instructions on chemical use including dilution and application
- attend all departmental training and in-service sessions
- report equipment repair needs and unsafe work conditions
- perform all other duties as assigned
