Cantex is currently seeking a full-time Housekeeping Assistant to join its team during the day shift at their Skilled Nursing facility. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff. The Housekeeping Assistant will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that the facility meets high standards of hygiene and appearance.

The position involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, window washing, carpet shampooing and vacuuming, furniture arrangement, and cleaning of various furniture and equipment. The assistant will work under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor and play a crucial role in supporting the health and safety protocols of the facility. This includes adhering to proper chemical use, hazard identification, and immediate reporting of repair needs. The employee will also be responsible for managing supplies and equipment necessary for their duties.

Candidates for this role should have experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance, with familiarity in the use of floor-care equipment being a plus. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required to effectively follow instructions and communicate within the team.
