Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing
- strong attention to detail and reliability
Job Qualifications
- experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance
- experience in using floor-care equipment
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- knowledge of safety procedures
- understanding of abuse prevention policies
- ability to attend training sessions and comply with patient care management systems
Job Duties
- clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily
- use proper chemicals in correct portions
- dust mop, wet mop, or spot mop floors
- empty trash containers and replace liners
- vacuum carpets as directed
- wash and dry windows using proper chemicals and equipment
- report repair needs to supervisor or maintenance
- request supplies and equipment
- identify and correct safety hazards
- comply with abuse prevention policies
- attend weekly in-services and comply with patient care systems
- ensure patient and resident safety
- perform other assigned duties
