Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- experience in housekeeping or custodial services preferred
- ability to perform routine and deep cleaning tasks
- strong organizational skills
- effective communication abilities
- physical capability to handle tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- willingness to adhere to safety and infection control protocols

Job Duties
- perform routine and periodic deep cleaning to all assigned areas and furnishings according to schedule
- sweep, mop and vacuum resident apartments, restrooms, utility rooms, common areas, nursing stations, medication rooms and dining and kitchen areas
- clean countertops in restrooms and kitchen areas of resident apartments
- defrost refrigerators in resident apartments on a regular basis
- dust all furniture, baseboards, window blinds, and around entryways
- remove, launder, and replace bed linens excluding bedspreads and quilts
- wash, dry, fold and return towels and bath linens to resident units
- remove and dispose of waste and trash according to sanitation requirements
- report structural and equipment defects or hazards by completing work orders
- use and store cleaning equipment and supplies effectively and safely
- assist with bio-hazard clean-up as directed
- practice daily universal and special precautions in resident environment
- maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights
- complete accident, incident reports, and infection control logs
- inform appropriate staff regarding changes in resident physical, emotional or behavioral status
- perform other duties as assigned
