The role of Housekeeper at Oakmont of El Dorado Hills is an essential position that ensures the cleanliness and comfort of resident apartments, public areas, common spaces, and work areas throughout the community. This position operates during the daytime shift, from 7:30am to 3:30pm, Wednesday through Sunday, offering a pay range of $17 to $19 per hour. The Housekeeper is responsible not only for maintaining cleanliness but also for the laundry and ironing needs of both residents and the community, playing a key role in supporting the wellbeing and dignity of the seniors who reside at Oakmont.

As a Housekeeper, you will work in a supportive environment that places high importance on safety and security for both staff and residents. Maintaining a safe environment follows established safety standards, and cooperative teamwork is encouraged to achieve the highest standards of service. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate approach to care, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, residents, and healthcare professionals
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Complete health screening tests including physical and TB tests
  • Comply with company health and safety policies including COVID-19 prevention measures

Job Qualifications

  • Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
  • Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
  • Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety protocols related to communicable diseases as required

Job Duties

  • Clean all resident apartments as directed
  • Clean all public areas, common areas, and work areas as directed
  • Complete community and resident laundry and ironing as assigned
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
