Job Description

Drury Hotels is a renowned hospitality company with a reputation for providing exceptional guest experiences and a supportive work environment. Located at 5175 28th Street SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, this full-service hotel is part of a nationwide chain that prides itself on its award-winning culture, ranking among Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces in 2025. Drury Hotels values its employees as integral members of its family and offers a workplace where individuals are respected for their contributions and achievements. The company's commitment to career growth through mentorship, cross-training, development plans, and management training has resulted in over 200 internal promotions this year alone, highlighting a robust promote-from-within culture that empowers team members to advance their careers starting from frontline roles.

This full-time Housekeeper position offers a competitive starting wage of $18.50 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan. Employees also enjoy various incentives such as quarterly bonuses up to $3,200 annually based on hotel performance, paid time off, hotel discounts and free room nights, and access to a Team Member Assistance Program. These offerings not only enhance the work-life balance but also provide financial security and wellness support for the team.

In the role of Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of business travelers and families by maintaining clean, inviting guest rooms and public areas. The position involves a variety of cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms to meet the high standards that set Drury Hotels apart from competitors. Emphasis is placed on delivering exceptional hospitality with a friendly, customer-focused approach, contributing to the memorable experiences that keep guests returning.

The job does not require prior cleaning experience, making it accessible to individuals with a basic educational background equivalent to two years of high school. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to walk and stand throughout the work shift, lift 25 to 35 pounds intermittently, and perform activities like reaching, stretching, and bending. Housekeepers are expected to work independently while adhering closely to verbal and written instructions, maintaining a positive attitude, and demonstrating a commitment to excellent customer service.

Working in a fast-paced, guest-oriented environment, you will collaborate with team members and management to sustain a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Your proactive service—anticipating and responding promptly to guest and team needs—will be a key aspect of your contribution. Availability to work weekends, particularly Saturdays and Sundays, may be required due to the hotel's operational schedule.

Joining Drury Hotels means becoming part of a company that prioritizes its people and fosters a supportive and rewarding workplace culture. From hiring to ongoing development and engagement, Drury ensures that team members rise, shine, and work happily while creating exceptional experiences for guests. If you are enthusiastic about hospitality and enjoy maintaining high standards of cleanliness with a positive team spirit, this Housekeeper position offers a fulfilling opportunity to grow your skills and career in a respected and growing company.
