The company prides itself on a culture that fosters career growth, inclusivity, and balance between work and personal life. Located at 5175 28th Street SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, this property is a part of a larger network of hotels that emphasize cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and a supportive workplace.
The Housekeeper role at Drury Hotels is a full-time position offering a competitive starting wage of $18.50 per hour plus additional pay based on experience. This role primarily operates during the day shift with weekend schedules required to meet the operational demands of the hotel. Beyond a competitive salary, employees benefit from comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan, and paid earned time off to encourage work-life balance. The company also offers quarterly bonuses up to $3,200 annually based on hotel performance, reflecting a strong team-oriented success model.
In this essential position, housekeepers play a critical role in crafting memorable and positive experiences for guests, ensuring that after a busy day, guests can relax in spotless and comfortable accommodations. The expectation is to uphold and exceed high standards of cleanliness, maintaining the hotel’s reputation by performing duties such as vacuuming, changing linens, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and inspecting rooms for any maintenance needs. Housekeepers also assist guests by providing additional amenities, linen, or information as needed, promoting a friendly and service-focused atmosphere.
Drury Hotels values team members who have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent customer service. No previous experience in cleaning is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or continue a career in hospitality. The role requires physical stamina to perform tasks that involve walking, standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds intermittently, and the ability to work independently while following detailed verbal and written instructions.
A career at Drury Hotels offers many prospects for advancement through mentorship, management training, and internal promotions, with over 200 team members advancing last year alone. Benefits extend beyond compensation to include hotel discounts, free room nights, and a tightly knit team environment that supports personal and professional growth. This position is vital for maintaining the welcoming and high-quality guest experience that defines Drury Hotels, making it a rewarding opportunity for individuals committed to hospitality excellence.
