We are currently hiring immediately for both full-time and part-time Housekeeper positions at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. This role is essential for maintaining the hospital’s cleanliness and sanitation standards, which directly impact patient care and safety. Housekeepers at TouchPoint perform a range of light cleaning duties including making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning patient rooms and hallways, vacuuming carpets, and polishing floors and furnishings. These tasks are crucial for creating a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment conducive to healing.
Housekeepers must provide attentive customer service, responding promptly to patient and visitor needs, handling spills or housekeeping challenges efficiently, and contributing to a team-based approach in maintaining high standards. The positions offer varied schedules Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, providing flexibility while ensuring continuous support to the hospital’s operations.
No prior housekeeping experience is required, as TouchPoint provides training to help new employees succeed. The pay range for this role is competitive, starting at $16.13 per hour and going up to $18.38 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Job Requirements
- prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required

- ability to adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties
- provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
- sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
- vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
- shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
- dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
- cleans metal fixtures and fittings
- empties and cleans trash containers
- disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
- cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- wipes down glass surfaces
- makes up beds and changes linens as required
- realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- responds to guest queries and requests
- responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
- contributes to team efforts
- exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others
- performs other duties as assigned
