Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- minimum two years experience preferred but will consider training a proper candidate
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift 30 lbs
- ability to walk, squat, bend, kneel, climb to reach up to 8 ft ceilings and reach above shoulders
- must have sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch
- ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals
- must successfully complete WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program
- ability to work flexible hours in a 24-hour facility
- must demonstrate regular attendance, punctuality, teamwork, willingness to learn, initiative, dependability, and promptness
- must be able to communicate with residents, family members, and staff
- must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- two years of housekeeping or similar experience preferred but not required
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- ability to follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
- strong communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including shifts
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative
- dependability and punctuality
- bilingual skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Clean assigned areas of health care which include common areas, recreational areas, and residential areas including bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas
- properly use personal protective equipment and all cleaning chemicals and equipment
- dust and clean all surfaces with appropriate cleaners
- vacuum all required areas
- mop all required areas
- make beds, change linens, empty trash, and pay special attention to cobwebs and additional cleaning needs
- ensure cleanliness standards exceed Arbor Acres expectations in all assigned areas
