The Housekeeping role at Sierra Medical Center offers a full-time position that comes complete with full benefits and a convenient work schedule. This role is vital in maintaining the hospital's commitment to providing a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeping position is designed for someone dynamic and proactive, responsible for cleaning all designated hospital areas according to stringent policies and procedures. Beyond the routine cleaning responsibilities, the role involves participating in performance improvement activities aimed at elevating the overall effectiveness and standards of the environmental services department.

The core values at Sierra Medical Center—Compassion, Empathy, Teamwork, Quality, Ethics, Respect, Service Excellence, and Innovation—are deeply embedded in the workplace culture and operational ethos. These values dictate the level of service and the work environment expected of all employees. The Housekeeping team, in particular, plays an essential role in embodying these principles by ensuring patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, and public spaces such as waiting areas, elevators, lounges, corridors, and restrooms are maintained at the highest hygiene standards. This role requires adherence to infection control protocols, including hand hygiene, standard, and isolation precautions, to prevent the spread of infection within the hospital setting.

Sierra Medical Center, operated under the umbrella of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), benefits from the experience and infrastructure of one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare service providers. UHS operates numerous acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient centers, and a comprehensive physician network across multiple locations, including the United States, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. This affiliation ensures a stable work environment with extensive career development opportunities, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits.

This Housekeeping position offers competitive hourly pay starting from $18.00 to $20.52, reflecting the critical role this team plays in the hospital's success in patient care excellence. Employees enjoy a challenging and rewarding work environment, competitive wages, and generous paid time off alongside excellent medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans. Additionally, the role offers access to a 401(k) plan with company matching and a discounted stock plan, tuition reimbursement and repayment programs, and ample opportunities for career growth within UHS and its extensive network.
