TerraBella Senior Living is currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join its community at Deane Hill Place. This role is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall pleasant environment of the community, which directly contributes to the comfort and satisfaction of its residents. The Housekeeper is responsible for a variety of cleaning duties including the upkeep of apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices to ensure all spaces meet the high standards TerraBella sets for its senior living environments. This position involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, sanitation of lavatory and shower areas, as well as managing community laundry. It requires a responsible individual who can maintain cleaning equipment and materials in good condition, report repair needs, and ensure all safety and fire codes compliance.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the residents
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
Interest in working with a senior population
Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally sit
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities including close and color vision

Job Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Interest in working with a senior population
Courteous and friendly interaction with guests, residents, and staff

Job Duties

Performs cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
Sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways
spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners
Rotates runners in hallways and entryways
Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities
Stocks dispensers as necessary
Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
Maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
Collects trash and refuse from work areas and places in designated pick-up areas
Collects, cleans and redistributes the community laundry
Maintains the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition
Ensures cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
Ensures equipment and other hazards are kept out of the way and complies with fire codes
Reports needed repairs and supply needs to the Lead Housekeeper
Performs other duties as assigned
