Job Description

WesleyLife stands as a beacon of excellence in senior living, boasting over 77 years of experience in providing top-quality care and support to older adults. The Village, located on a serene 37-acre campus in Indianola near Simpson College, is one of WesleyLife's flagship communities. It offers a welcoming family atmosphere where residents are cared for with compassion and dignity across a range of services including independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and short-term rehabilitation. WesleyLife is not just a workplace; it is a community that emphasizes empowering its team members, fostering their growth, well-being, and happiness while ensuring a supportive and rewarding environment for all.

The role of a housekeeper with The Village is essential in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall comfort of the community's residences and shared spaces. As a vital member of the Housekeeping Department, the housekeeper is responsible for performing daily duties consistent with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines. This ensures the facilities remain pristine and inviting for residents, their families, and fellow team members. Among the primary responsibilities are routine housekeeping and laundry duties conducted according to detailed task lists, contributing significantly to the overall atmosphere of care and hospitality.

Beyond the physical upkeep of the environment, the position of housekeeper offers a truly rewarding opportunity to directly impact residents' lives by building meaningful relationships. This role encourages connection and interaction, allowing housekeepers to experience the joy of making a difference in the daily lives of residents and their families. WesleyLife values this human element highly and supports its staff in delivering compassionate service.

The position is offered full-time with shifts from Monday through Friday and includes rotating weekends, allowing for a schedule that balances work commitments with personal life. WesleyLife also provides various benefits that extend beyond just a paycheck, emphasizing career fulfillment, flexibility, and personal development. These benefits include access to a Daily Pay app that offers financial flexibility, a comprehensive benefits package inclusive of healthcare, vision, dental, and 401(k) retirement plans, as well as scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs to encourage continued learning and professional growth.

WesleyLife further supports its employees with wellness incentives such as free memberships and cash rewards designed to promote healthy living. Team members also enjoy educational discounts, such as an 18% discount at Purdue University Global, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to lifelong learning and advancement. At WesleyLife, every housekeeper becomes a valued part of a mission-driven team dedicated to revolutionizing the aging experience and redefining what it means to age well through compassionate, quality care and an enriching work culture.
