Job Description

The current opening is for a full-time Housekeeper position at Ascension Providence Health Center located at 6901 Medical Parkway, Waco, TX 76712. The position follows a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends required. This role is well-suited for individuals with prior housekeeping experience who take pride in maintaining cleanliness and order in healthcare environments. Offering a competitive pay range of $15.50 to $18.00 per hour, this role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere within the hospital setting.

As a Housekeeper at TouchPoint, you will perform a variety of light cleaning duties focused on maintaining the high standards of cleanliness required in hospitals. Responsibilities involve cleaning rooms, hallways, and public areas, making beds, replenishing linens, vacuuming carpets and upholstery, dusting and polishing furniture, as well as handling waste disposal in a sanitary manner. The role demands attention to detail and a genuine commitment to customer service, as you will often respond to patient and visitor requests, handle spills or maintenance issues, and contribute positively to the overall hospital experience.

Job Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time schedule including overnights and rotating weekends
  • Ability to perform light cleaning duties in a healthcare setting

Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
  • Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
  • Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
  • Cleans metal fixtures and fittings
  • Empties and cleans trash containers
  • Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
  • Wipes down glass surfaces
  • Makes up beds and changes linens as required
  • Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • Responds to guest queries and requests
  • Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
  • Contributes to team efforts
  • exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others
  • Performs other duties as assigned
