TerraBella Senior Living is currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join the community of Deane Hill Place. This role is integral to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall aura of the community spaces as well as residents' apartment homes. The Housekeeper will execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules in various community areas such as common spaces, lounges, offices, and hallways ensuring these locations reflect TerraBella's standards of excellence. The role involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing lavatory and shower fixtures, and maintaining laundry operations within the community. A key responsibility is ensuring environmental safety by proper storage of cleaning chemicals and keeping all equipment and cleaning-related hazards orderly and compliant with fire codes. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a sincere interest in contributing to the comfort and wellbeing of a senior population.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Performs cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
Sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways
spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners
rotates runners in hallways and entryways
Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities
stocks dispensers as necessary
Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
Maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
Collects trash and refuse from work areas and places in designated pick-up areas
Responsible for collecting, cleaning and redistributing community laundry
Maintains the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition
Ensures cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
Ensures cords, carts, equipment and other hazards are kept out of the way and in compliance with fire codes
Reports needed repairs and supply and equipment needs
Performs other duties as assigned
