We are currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our team who will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our community. This position is essential in creating a positive first impression for residents, visitors, and staff members alike. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing residents' apartments and common areas, ensuring that all spaces remain hygienic and comfortable. Your duties will include removing trash, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing bathrooms, and caring for furniture and fixtures in accordance with established community policies and guidelines.
In addition to routine cleaning, you will perform deep cleaning tasks such as shampooing carpets, washing windows and screens, and preparing apartments for move-ins. Responding promptly and respectfully to residents' cleaning needs and requests is a key part of your role, as is maintaining equipment and supplies in good working order. Safety is a priority, and you will be expected to observe all infection control and safety procedures, report any repair needs or safety issues to management, and maintain confidentiality regarding residents' personal information.
This role requires interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff while fostering a nurturing and positive environment. You will work independently, manage your workload efficiently, and demonstrate compassion and a genuine concern for the elderly population we serve. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality. Physical demands include the ability to perform strenuous tasks such as lifting and pushing heavy objects.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- cleans and sanitizes residents' apartments and common areas by removing trash, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing baths and toilets, headboard and footboard care, and cleaning glass following community policies and procedures
- replaces and restocks toilet tissue, paper towels and facial tissue
- deep cleans apartments and common areas as assigned following community policies and procedures
- shampoos carpets and furniture, washes windows and screens as assigned
- responds to residents' cleaning needs in a positive, timely and respectful manner
- prepares apartment for move-in by ensuring it is clean and welcoming
- maintains equipment and supplies in clean, working order
