Job Description

Brookdale is a leading nationwide senior living company committed to providing gracious hospitality and neighborliness to residents and their families. With 589 communities across the country as of November 2025, Brookdale offers a home-like environment where residents enjoy comfort, companionship, and quality care. The company is recognized for its industry-leading clinical care and supportive atmosphere that encourages residents to engage in entertaining events and gatherings, creating meaningful connections in both group settings and one-on-one interactions. Brookdale also prides itself on being an inclusive employer, having been recognized by Newsweek in 2024 and 2025 as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity. This recognition highlights the company's dedication to fostering a workplace that values diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

Brookdale's commitment extends beyond its residents to its employees, offering a work environment designed for personal and professional growth. Employees have access to extensive corporate support, including a robust training program, opportunities for career advancement, and programs aimed at overall health and wellness. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement for eligible employees. There are also optional voluntary benefits such as pet insurance and identity theft protection. Veterans, transitioning military personnel, and military spouses are especially encouraged to apply, with unique benefits like naturalization fee assistance for qualifying associates. The company’s culture promotes a sense of belonging and encourages employees to become their best selves while making a positive impact on the lives of the seniors they serve.

The Housekeeper role at Brookdale is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of the community. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning residents' apartments, restrooms, and common areas through tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, wet mopping, waxing, and disinfecting surfaces. These activities help create a healthy and pleasant living environment for residents and guests alike. Housekeepers also handle carpet care, including shampooing and deodorizing, and are expected to respond quickly to resident room emergencies while ensuring that all cleaning tasks are properly documented.

In addition to their cleaning responsibilities, housekeepers serve as friendly and courteous points of contact for residents and visitors, embodying Brookdale's value of neighborliness. This role requires attentiveness to residents' needs and a respectful attitude toward all individuals in the community, contributing directly to the uplifting atmosphere that defines Brookdale communities. The position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with benefits eligibility depending on employment status. The base pay range is determined by the applicant’s skills and experience, and temporary associates may participate in the 401(k) program but are not benefits eligible. Brookdale is dedicated to equality and maintaining a drug-free workplace, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all employees.
