Job Description

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is a well-established retirement community that has proudly served its residents and the local community for over 55 years. Known for its commitment to providing compassionate care, the center upholds a legacy of dignity, respect, and excellence in senior living. Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center offers a supportive and nurturing environment where residents receive the utmost attention to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. As a Christian-based facility, the center creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that promotes a sense of community and belonging among residents, their families, and staff.

Joining Fairhaven means becoming part of a team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors through well-coordinated care and a peaceful living environment. The center emphasizes respect, privacy, and a homelike atmosphere, making it a preferred choice for seniors seeking long-term residential care.

Currently, Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join their dedicated Support Services team. This important role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall aesthetic appeal of the facility, ensuring that residents live in a healthy and pleasant environment. The Housekeeper position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.30 to $15.75 and operates on a regular schedule from Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM.

The Housekeeper will implement established housekeeping procedures according to daily schedules and plans, with duties spanning cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, public areas, and duplexes within the facility. The role requires attention to detail to uphold infection control, safety standards, and the privacy and dignity of each resident. Responsibilities also include stocking supplies, reporting maintenance needs, and participating in a positive team atmosphere that fosters resident well-being.

Key to success in this position is the physical ability to perform demanding housekeeping tasks that involve lifting, bending, stooping, and walking for extended periods. Candidates must also exhibit strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating warmth, compassion, and respect when interacting with residents, families, and coworkers. The Housekeeper will act as a public relations ambassador, promoting a friendly, homelike environment.

Fairhaven places emphasis on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA, to protect residents' confidentiality and health care information. The role may occasionally require flexibility to work different shifts or weekends as needed, particularly during emergency situations.

This position is especially suited for individuals seeking a stable, rewarding career in a caring community setting. Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center offers various benefits to full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance options, a 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off, reduced-price employee lunches, shift differentials, and other incentives. These benefits reflect Fairhaven’s commitment to supporting their staff as much as their residents.

If you have experience in housekeeping, especially within long-term care facilities, a passion for helping seniors, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, this role provides an excellent opportunity to join a respected leader in senior care. Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center invites motivated candidates to apply and contribute to its mission of providing compassionate, dignified elder care.
