Housekeeper - Full-time

We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician to join our Support Services team under the supervision of the Director of Support Services. This full-time role is integral to maintaining the pristine condition of our clinical and administrative environments. The Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning all assigned areas, including general cleaning, room turnarounds between cases or patients, and scheduled project work such as washing walls, vents, windows, and lights. The role demands a thorough understanding of aseptic techniques, the use of personal protective equipment, and the safe handling of chemical cleaners and cleaning agents. Candidates must exhibit patience, tact, stamina, and endurance, especially when working under pressure or in demanding situations.

This position requires physical capability, including lifting up to 50 pounds independently or up to 150 pounds with assistance, as well as the ability to push or pull equipment weighing up to 500 pounds with assistance. The Cleaning Technician spends most of their time walking or standing and must have strong visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential for handling equipment and sharps safely. Awareness and adherence to OSHA regulations, particularly those involving direct contact with blood or bodily fluids, are critical to the role. PPE is provided for protection and must be worn consistently.

Working hours can be irregular or extended to accommodate the surgical schedule and patient care activities, which underscores the need for flexibility and commitment.
