Job Description

Cypress Cove is a distinguished 60-acre Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), dedicated to providing senior living options at the highest levels of independence and comfort. The community boasts an array of unmatched amenities, including fine dining experiences, elegantly refined décor, and a comprehensive continuum of care that spans Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, and Rehabilitation services. This unique environment fosters a warm and engaging atmosphere characterized by a strong resident-staff rapport, which makes Cypress Cove an exceptional place for both living and working. Values such as compassion, service, and community are deeply embedded in the culture here, ensuring that all residents receive the attentive and respectful care they deserve.

At Cypress Cove, the role of the Housekeeper is pivotal to maintaining the community's cleanliness, safety, and welcoming ambiance. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with alternating weekend duties, and offers a competitive wage of $16 per hour. Housekeepers are integral members of the Environmental Services team, carrying out essential day-to-day housekeeping functions across the entire Cypress Cove campus. The team members embody compassion and a service-driven mindset, working diligently to enhance the well-being and quality of life for all residents.

Housekeepers are tasked with maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment, which includes cleaning resident apartments and rooms within various specialized areas such as Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. They ensure that all common areas—from corridors and restrooms to offices and break rooms—meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The role also includes care of utility and storage areas, outdoor courtyards, and recreation and exercise zones. Occasionally, housekeepers may assist with laundry duties, depending on the needs of the facility.

The position requires vigilance in waste removal and support with cleanup tasks involving leaks or spills, thereby contributing significantly to the community's overall health and safety protocols. Cypress Cove values a strong work ethic characterized by kindness, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a cheerful disposition. While experience in senior living is beneficial, it is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for those passionate about making a positive impact, irrespective of prior experience.

Cypress Cove also offers its employees a variety of benefits designed to support their well-being and professional growth. These include competitive health benefits, paid vacation, a retirement plan with a 6% company match, free salad bars and homemade soups daily, telemedicine services for family members, employee clinic sick visits, tuition reimbursement, partnerships with local colleges for educational discounts, milestone gifts, and referral bonuses. Flexible work schedules, no late-night shifts, and access to wages before payday further enhance this supportive work environment.

Working at Cypress Cove means joining a team that values enthusiasm, passion, and a shared commitment to enriching the lives of seniors. This role presents an opportunity not only to maintain physical spaces but also to build meaningful relationships with residents and colleagues. For those seeking a rewarding housekeeping career within a respected senior living community, Cypress Cove represents an outstanding choice where employees are truly valued and appreciated.
