We are currently seeking dedicated Housekeepers for both full-time and part-time positions at Ascension Via Christi St Teresa, located at 14800 West St. Teresa, Wichita, KS 67235. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hospital environment, contributing to safe, hygienic, and welcoming conditions for patients and visitors. The position offers competitive pay, ranging from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, alongside flexible working schedules that include rotating weekends. Job Requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to work full time or part time with flexible schedule including rotating weekends
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical activities related to cleaning duties
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to provide customer service and handle guest requests professionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to provide quality customer service
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including cleaning and lifting
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Job Duties
- Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
- Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
- Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
- Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
- Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
- Cleans metal fixtures and fittings
- Empties and cleans trash containers
- Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
- Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- Wipes down glass surfaces
- Makes up beds and changes linens as required
- Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- Responds to guest queries and requests
- Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
- Contributes to team efforts
- exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others
- Performs other duties as assigned
