Job Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to clean areas requiring technical cleaning including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED
Ability to operate light floor equipment
Ability to lift and transport patients in case of emergency
Physical requirements including reaching, standing long periods, squatting, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more up to 80% of the time
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to wear protective equipment and clothing as required
Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance
No experience required

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to clean technically demanding healthcare areas
Ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
Physical capability to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing 35 pounds or more
Indiana driver’s license with proof of insurance
Ability to wear protective equipment as required

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize occupied spaces including patient units, office areas, clinics, and treatment or procedural areas
Remove refuse and soiled linens
Operate light floor equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas
Clean technically demanding areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
Lift and transport patients in emergency situations
Wear required protective equipment and clothing such as gowns, gloves, goggles, and rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
Climb ladders as needed for cleaning tasks
